Good News On This Monday!

It has been four months since my mother was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. After her operation, we decided against any post surgery radiation treatment. The side effects may be too severe for someone her age.

Today she went to the Singapore Cancer Centre for her first check up by the surgeon who operated on her. Without radiotherapy, I was told the cancer would return.

Today, she was certified clear of discernible cancerous growth. Her next appointment with this surgeon is in 6 months.

My mother still coughs occasionally when she drinks. Her appetite is healthy although she has lost some weight.

From the Monday we heard the bad news, we have all been on a rough ride with her. On this Monday, we are all relief, and counting our blessings she is healthy now.
